Wuthering Waves: Character Tier List

Our Wuthering Waves character tier list ranks every resonator in Version 3.3, from S-tier carries to D-tier bench warmers. Updated for July 2026 meta.

Last updated:

Patch 3.2 heralded the arrival of Sigrika and a new mechanic while also reshaping Aero's place in the game meta, shifting character rankings across the game's tier lists. Find the best picks among the game's growing Wuthering Waves characters roster and spare yourself the agony of spending your Astrites on the wrong units.

How Wuthering Waves Resonators are Ranked

Characters are assessed using five factors: Endstate Matrix and Tower of Adversity raw damage output, team synergy across popular team compositions, ease of building, versatility across different content, and how each resonator fares after the latest balance changes. Both solo carry and team uplift performance are considered.

Meta Overview

The current meta is defined by exceptional depth, with ten resonators claiming S-tier status and reflecting Wuthering Waves' increasingly sophisticated balance. S Tier

The elite tier represents resonators who either define entire team archetypes or demonstrate exceptional versatility across multiple compositions and content types.

  • Aemeath continues his dominance as the premier DPS option, delivering unmatched damage output while adapting seamlessly to diverse team structures.
  • Augusta brings consistent Electro damage enhanced by unique buff mechanics that create powerful synergistic opportunities with a wide range of teammates.
  • Sigrika has established herself as a transformative force, reshaping team-building approaches through exceptional synergy and sustained damage output.
  • Mornye provides outstanding support capabilities while maintaining impressive sub-DPS contributions across various scenarios.
  • Cartethyia and Qiuyuan round out the damage dealers with specialized kits that excel in specific compositions while retaining broad applicability.
  • Brant delivers reliable offensive pressure with versatile mechanics that slot naturally into multiple archetypes.
  • The Shorekeeper and Phrolova serve as premier support anchors, each bringing irreplaceable utility and healing that define the current competitive landscape.
  • Ciaccona completes this exceptional tier with a uniquely flexible kit that enhances virtually any team she joins.

A Tier

A-tier resonators are strong, reliable picks that perform excellently in their designated roles but fall just short of the meta-defining impact seen in S tier.

  • Lynae and Phoebe offer compelling damage profiles with meaningful team utility baked into their kits.
  • Jinhsi and Camellya remain potent DPS options with well-established team compositions that reward investment.
  • Zhezhi and Cantarella bring versatile offensive and supportive contributions, slotting comfortably into a variety of lineups.
  • Zani and Luuk Herssen provide solid sub-DPS and buffing value, making them dependable choices across most content.
  • Jiyan and Carlotta round out this tier as proven damage dealers whose specialized kits continue to deliver strong results in the right compositions.

B Tier

B-tier resonators are functional and capable in their roles but require more specific team support or face stiffer competition from higher-tier alternatives.

  • Encore and Xiangli Yao deliver respectable damage but are increasingly outpaced by newer options.
  • Calcharo and Roccia offer niche value that can shine in tailored compositions.
  • Mortefi and Yinlin provide serviceable sub-DPS contributions, though their impact has diminished with the expanding roster.
  • Chisa and Lupa round out this tier as situationally useful picks that reward players who invest in their specific synergies.

C Tier

C-tier resonators struggle to keep pace with the current meta and are generally outclassed by higher-tier options in most content.

  • Sanhua and Denia offer limited utility that rarely justifies a roster slot in competitive play.
  • Danjin and Buling have narrow use cases that are difficult to leverage consistently.
  • Lingyang and Aalto round out this tier, both hampered by mechanical limitations that prevent them from contributing meaningfully to high-end team compositions.

D Tier

D-tier resonators are largely outclassed across all content and are best reserved for casual play or collection purposes.

  • Baizhi, Yuanwu, Chixia, and Jianxin struggle to provide competitive value in any serious composition.
  • Yangyang, Taoqi, Youhu, and Lumi similarly fall well behind the current power curve, making them difficult to recommend outside of early-game scenarios.

Version 3.2 and the Future

Players who invested in Aero and Fusion team comps were highly rewarded in 3.2, and Kuro Games seems intent on establishing Echo Skill DMG for the next game meta. All that said, you can't go wrong with investing your Astrites in any S-tier resonator.

But if you'd rather not waste time grinding and relying on luck, browse the best WuWa accounts on igitems and find the best ones with stacked rosters for any challenge. We'll update this list once 3.3 comes around, so check back then.
