League of Legends: Champion Tier List

Discover the best LoL champions for Patch Patch 26.13. Our tier list ranks the strongest picks for every role so you can dominate solo queue and climb ranked.

Last updated:

The current patch tipped the balance with reworks, nerfs, and the emergence of an absurdly high win-rate jungle monster in Nidalee. But these League of Legends meta shifts come in fast, so there's not a lot of time to learn before a new set arrives. This LoL tier list will keep you up to speed on the best champions to play.

How We Rank These Champions

Win rate, pick rate, and ban rate are all based on data from Emerald+ solo queues on Summoner's Rift globally. These latest patch ban rates and pick rates are combined with pro player trends, accessibility, skill requirements, and team synergies. Win rate is relative to other data, meaning a character with a 55% win rate but a 1% pick rate is more of an outlier than a lock-in at S-Tier.

Meta Overview

The current meta is defined by a lean but powerful S-tier duo that rewards mechanical mastery and high-damage carry play. The landscape heavily favors champions who can create and capitalize on individual advantages, punishing teams that lack reliable answers to assassination and sustained pressure.

A-tier is impressively deep, offering strong options across every role, while B-tier remains viable for skilled players. Further down, several once-prominent champions struggle to justify their picks in a meta that demands consistent impact.

S Tier

S-tier this patch belongs to two of the most mechanically expressive and rewarding champions in the game: Yasuo and Zed. Yasuo continues to dominate mid lane and top lane with his exceptional mobility, wind wall utility, and devastating teamfight potential when paired with knock-up synergies. His ability to shred through armor-stacking opponents while weaving through crowds makes him a priority pick in the right hands.

Zed mirrors that dominance from the shadows, offering unmatched assassination potential and slippery mobility that makes him nearly impossible to pin down. His shadow mechanics allow for complex outplays and reliable kill pressure on high-value targets. Together, Yasuo and Zed represent the apex of individual carry potential in the current meta, rewarding players who invest the time to master their deep mechanical ceilings.

A Tier

A-tier is broad and well-rounded this patch, covering every role with strong, reliable options. Shyvana and Briar bring relentless jungle pressure and skirmishing power, while Sett dominates the top lane with raw physical presence. Malzahar offers near-unmatched crowd control in the mid lane, making him a staple in organized play. In the bot lane, Senna, Miss Fortune, and Caitlyn provide a mix of utility, burst, and poke. Leona and Nautilus anchor the support role with elite engage and hard crowd control, while Diana rounds out the tier as a flexible threat.

B Tier

B-tier houses a solid collection of champions that remain competitive in the right circumstances. Yorick and Wukong offer reliable top lane and jungle presence respectively, with Wukong in particular excelling in teamfight-heavy compositions. Viktor provides consistent mid lane damage and scaling, though he demands patience to reach his power spikes. Irelia and Naafiri bring aggressive carry potential but require precise execution to shine. Rell and Zilean round out the support options with strong engage and game-altering utility, while Kayn remains a flexible jungle threat capable of adapting to either a bruiser or assassin role.

C Tier

C-tier champions are situational at best in the current meta. Ziggs and Malphite can find moments of relevance — Ziggs through long-range poke and objective control, Malphite as a one-shot teamfight initiator — but both struggle against the pace and pressure that higher-tier picks impose. Hecarim and Katarina offer burst and mobility but are heavily countered by the crowd control prevalent in this meta. Mordekaiser rounds out the tier as a durable solo threat who lacks the consistency needed to compete at higher levels of play.

D Tier

Amumu sits alone in D-tier this patch, struggling to justify a pick in a meta that has largely outpaced his kit. While his teamfight ultimate remains impactful on paper, his predictable pathing, limited dueling power, and vulnerability to being kited make him a liability in most game states. He is best avoided in favor of stronger jungle options.

Climb Smarter, Not Harder

Any champions guide is a blueprint for success that helps you improve, though it still requires player skill. Do your due diligence and learn 2 or 3 champions for versatility. If you want to ensure availability for all League of Legends champions on the roster, or if you just want to skip the grind, rank-ready accounts from igitems fulfill both needs. There are also LoL boosting services for hitting target ranks sooner.
